Archbishop Wood led by Brian and Anthony Fittipaldi defeated Shawnee 8-1 as the SJHSIHL continues it crossover schedule with teams from Pennsylvania. Tom Basehore scored the lone Shawnee goal after David Dinn hit the post on a breakaway; Basehore jumped on the rebound and jammed home the rebound. In the second game played at Hollydell, Washington Township fell to West Chester East 4-1 despite an outstanding performance in goal by Dan Straga. Chris Keyser scored the lone goal for Township, and it was the inability of their power play that ultimately cost them the game.

With Straga making numerous close-in saves and the score only 1-0 after two periods, Township had a five-minute power play that carried over into the third period. It became a two-man advantage for a full two minutes and they failed to capitalize. West Chester scored two goals in a span of thirty seconds to make it 3-0 with eight minutes left in the game. Garaffalo, Gaffney, Chamness and Gerieke scored the goals for West Chester East.
