Colonial Conference Title Still In Haddonfield's Reach

The end of the softball season came be very exciting with so much on the line. For those teams qualifying for the playoffs, advancing to the next round is usually the main focus of the team. For Haddonfield and Sterling, a Colonial Conference title is also still up for grabs to go along with competing for the South Jersey Group 2 title. But today's softball game had nothing to do with the playoffs. Starting pitcher Therese Taraschi highlighted Haddonfield's seventh consecutive shutout with 4-0 decision against Sterling. The Silver Knights were the last two to have scored runs against Haddonfield.

The tight race for the Colonial Conference looks like it will come down to the final conference games of the season. Right now it looks like Haddonfield can control the outcome of this race by winning the remaining conference games on their schedule. With Haddonfield’s victory over Sterling was one step closer to that goal. The two runs scored in the fourth was more than enough for Taraschi to work with.
