Jeff Scully scored two goals and Timber Creek got contributions from all three lines in defeating Cinnaminson 6-4 and win their first game of the season. With fifteen underclassmen on their roster and the return of Tier 2 next season, Timber Creek hockey should be on the rise. After Scully scored two minutes into the game, Cinnaminson tied the score as Justin Fillmyer scored on a backhander to the short-side. Scully put Timber Creek back on top at the nine-minute mark on a feed from Ryan Johnson.

Less than two minutes later Dan Visco, working hard in the corner, fed a cross-ice pass to Joseph Fanconeri and his blast from the point found the net and his goal gave Timber Creek a 3-1 lead. Cinnaminson cut the lead to 3-2 early in the second period as Dan DiBartolo on a nice drop-pass from Ryan Joyce. Just over a minute later Timber Creek responded as Dan Cavallaro raced down the left side and hit Gary Scott in stride and his quick shot made it 4-2. Visco and Dave Verbaro for Cinnaminson traded goals later in the period and Timber Creek led 5-3 heading into the third period. After Shaun Mulvihill brought Cinnaminson to within 5-4, Timber Creek kept their composure and clinched the game with an empty net goal.
