High School Football: Triton Comes Away With Win Over Cherry Hill West Friday, November 10, 2000 By Bob Wankel In a NJSIAA Consolation Game on Friday night the Mustangs (1-7) faced the winless Cherry Hill West Lions (0-8) who only have 7 seniors. Triton looked to keep the Lions out of win column this season as they were looking for their second win of the year. In freshman football news... On Friday afternoon the Triton Mustangs took on the Gloucester Catholic Rams at home looking to pick up there second straight win. It was all Mustangs early on as the moved the ball at will against the Gloucester Catholic defense. Zac Finley opened up the scoring with his first of 3 touchdowns on the day. The Mustangs put together a 97 yard drive on the Ram Defense which was also capped off by Finley. The defense kept the opposition off the board for the second straight week stringing together 8 consecutive quarters of shutout football. As a result, the Mustangs took this one rather easily by the final of 21-0. |
