Vineland Ice Arena Breaks Ground

Vineland Ice Arena has officially started construction. Twin rink facility developers Andrew Berenato, Rick Berenato and Liz Pitale joined Mayor of Vineland Perry Barse, members of the Vineland City Council, Cumberland County Empowerment Zone Director Gerald Velazquez, Vineland Chamber of Commerce Director Paige Law, Members of the Vineland Industrial Commission and Officers of Economic Development, NJ State Senator Frank LoBiondo, Minotola Bank Officers Louis Petrini and Bob Rouze, Power Play Hockey Superstore Owner Bob Sutherland, local figure skater Danielle Finley and her parents, for the ceremonial ground breaking of the new community ice skating facility.

Vineland Ice Arena will be promoting the family fun and general positive recreation of ice skating along with figure skating and ice hockey to the region. Also the facility will be available for parties, corporate events and meetings. An August 2001 grand opening is planned.

This new skating facility will house 2 NHL regulation size ice rinks, 8 extra large locker rooms, separate referee rooms, offices and 4 large multi-purpose party/conference rooms accompanied by a game room. Along with a full service pro shop, patrons will be able to view the ice activities on both rinks from the warmth of the "Blades" Café, a full service eat-in café serving refreshments and goodies from early morning till late in the evening.
