John Spallino scored three goals, Ian Potter added a goal and two assists against Highland to help Washington Township win the JVA championship 7-2 in the SJHSIHL. Township was in control from the start scoring three first period goals, including a power play goal by Mark Capone in the first three minutes to take an early 1-0 lead. Right after the face-off Potter made it 2-0 with a blast through a screen. The lead grew to 3-0 with just under nine minutes left in the period as Potter sent a shot toward the net that was re-directed into the net by Spallino.

Midway through the second period, Ryan Whiteman scored on a breakaway to cut the lead to 3-1. Township would strike back on the power play, this time Tom Davidson converting a pass from Jason Pelle and Mike Duczkowski to make it 4-1 heading into the third period. Two goals by Spallino and one by Eric Ricacho in the third period completed the scoring. Congratulations to Coach Schauffele and his staff.
