Nick Martorano had a goal and three assists, Joe and Jason Pelle scored two goals apiece as Washington Township defeated Cherry Hill East 8-2. In a game that became more physical as time wore on, Township took advantage of the man advantage by scoring four power play goals. Joe Pelle scored the only goal of the first period on a great cross-ice pass from Martorano, as he just redirected the puck into the net. The period ended with Township up 1-0.

East tied the game at 1-1 when just after killing a penalty, Greg Muller broke in with Mike Danyo and his goal got East back in the game. But Township would score the next four goals in just over five minutes to break open the game. Again it was Joe Pelle converting a pass from Martorano and it was 2-1. Tom Davies would then score on a wrap around to make it 3-1. Then it was Jason's turn as he scored two power play goals, one in close on a set up from Eric Marano and another on a feed from Martorano for a 5-1 lead. East cut the lead to 5-2 as Louis Stomel scored right before the end of the period. Goals by Mark Capone, Martorano and Chris Keyser in the third period capped off Townships' 8-2 win.
