Washington Township received goals from seven different players and coasted to an 8-0 victory over the Eastern Vikings in Tier 1 action at Hollydell on Friday night. Dressing mainly junior varsity players due to a school function, Eastern was in the game for the first period thanks in part to goalie Zak Fayer, as Township launched 17 shots, but only Christian Biscardi and Sean Furman were able to beat Fayer and Township led just 2-0 after the first period.

Township put the game away in the first five minutes of the second stanza, scoring five goals and blowing the game open at 7-0. Thomas Dispaldo started the outburst scoring in the opening seconds. Then six seconds later Rob Hniedziejko right after the face-off blasted a shot from the circle and before you knew it the score was 4-0. Two goals by David Moore sandwiched one by Chris Coleman and five minutes into the period the score grew to 7-0. Joseph Santine added the last goal in the third period and with the win Township is just two points out of first place.
