During the regular season, Washington Township had defeated Moorestown twice and was looking to pick up their third straight victory during the playoffs of the SJHSIHL. These two teams were the remaining teams representing the winner's bracket after Cherokee had defeated Williamstown. After a scoreless first period, Robert Hniedziejko gave Township that all important first goal of the game. Washington Township goalie Joseph Scafisi helped Township hold onto their lead by saving 35 of the 36 shots that came his way. Township will now move to the finals of the winner's bracket with their 3-1 victory over Moorestown.

A total of thirty-two shots were put on goal during the first period but both Scafisi and Max Paluszynski didn't allow a single goal cross into the net. It wasn't until late in the second period that Hniedziejko finally solved the Paluszynski problem. David Smetaniuk assisted on the goal that occurred with just twenty-nine seconds remaining in the period. But during the third period, Township began to slowly pull away. On the power play, Cameron Rowand pushed Township's advance to 2-0. Later in the period, Rowand returned the favor to Christian Biscardi whose goal put this game away. Mike Weaver's goal avoided Moorestown from being shutout.
