Al Orth scored the only goal of the first period on the power play, with Sarin getting the assist. After Torin Lawson tied the game at 1-1 in the opening seconds of the period, Sarin put Township ahead banging home a goal from in tight.
Lawson once again stepped up for Eastern as his shot from the slot just went under the crossbar and we were tied at 2-2. Ryan Carr gave Township the lead for good scoring on the power play midway through the period. Sarin added his second goal late putting home a rebound of a shot by Dylan Smith and heading into the third period the lead was 4-2. William Bascou pulled Eastern to within 4-3 early in the third period, but Van Sciver had his best period as he stopped the remaining 12 shots. Austin Amato added the final goal at the six minute mark to close out the 5-3 win.
