After Torin Lawson tied the game at 1-1 in the opening seconds of the period, Sarin put Township ahead banging home a goal from in tight.
Lawson once again stepped up for Eastern as his shot from the slot just went under the crossbar and we were tied at 2-2. Ryan Carr gave Township the lead for good scoring on the power play midway through the period. Sarin added his second goal late putting home a rebound of a shot by Dylan Smith and heading into the third period the lead was 4-2.
