Collingswood Patiently Sticks To Game Plan

West Deptford was very impressive with their defense during the early moments of their game against the Lady Panthers from Collingswood. Rachel Mehaffey helped the Eagles jump out to an early two goal lead and knew that the entire team would have to continue to play at a high level against a very successful Lady Panthers team. Collingswood, after coming up short scoring a goal on their first five shot attempts, continued to apply pressure on West Deptford's defense and was rewarded by scoring eight straight goals and pull away from a determined Eagles team. Collingswood would pick up their tenth win in a row with their 18-7 victory.

After Mehaffey put West Deptford ahead 2-0, Katie Feely finally was able to get Collingswood’s first goal of the game. Moments later, Vicki Roddy’s back handed shot fourd the back of the net and this game would be all even. On a nice pass by Mehaffey, Krisiti Tamasitis push the Eagles back ahead by a goal. But that’s when Collingswood would score the next eight goals, three of them by Danielle Robinson. Mehaffey was not done as her third goal of the first half brought West Deptford a little closer with the score 10-4 in favor of Collingswood. The Panthers would finish out the half and the rest of the game maintaining their lead and increase their overall record to 8-2. Kelsey Dobbins and Megan Wright each finished the game with four goals apiece.
