Wildwood's Revenge from Football to Basketball

It was a hard day coming into the new convention center in Wildwood, NJ with a loss from the previous night against Wildwood Catholic. Glassboro lost to Ocean City to face Wildwood. The Glassboro boy's basketball team took an early 4-0 lead as they were convinced that even though they lost to Ocean City they are still one of the top teams in the Tri-County League and that the Wildwood Warriors would be another one of their victims.

Wildwood quickly called a time out with just one minute into the game to get their act together. One of Wildwood's starters, Jeremiah Brown (#20) quickly hit a 3 pointer off a good screen and all the sudden are down by 1. Wildwood opens a 14-2 run to take the lead with just 2 minutes to play in the 1st quarter. Wildwood's coach Rocco Sansone would then put in Pedro Perez (#21) in for Bobby Mulholland (#11). With that being done Pedro quickly gets a 3 pointer and Glassboro quickly answers back with a back to back 3 pointer. As the 2nd quarter came to an end, the Wildwood boys would out score the Glassboro boys with a total score of 35 to 26.

Although Wildwood had a comfortable lead they came out fighting through the game as if they were losing, but the Glassboro boys quickly caught up with not much action in the 3rd quarter. As the 3rd quarter came to an end Wildwood still led by 13 points with a score of 51 to 38. Wildwood felt comfortable coming into the 4th quarter with a 13 point lead so decided to put in some of the Wildwood JV players that also sit for varsity. Glassboro smartly and quickly took advantage of the situation and hit an incredible 6, 3 pointers to only be down by 9 points. Rocco Sansone quickly put back his starters and kept the lead within 7. Wildwood comes out with a win to defeat Glassboro, and improve to 2-1.

Wildwood will defeat these Tri-County League teams if they play smart and will most likely end up with an amazing homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs.
