Tim Larkin and Justin Osterdahl scored two goals each as Williamstown defeated Clearview 6-3 on Friday night at Hollydell. Larkin and Osterdahl scored power play goals in the opening period sandwiched around an even strength goal by Jim Roescher to open up a 3-0 lead. After Osterdahl's second goal early in the second period Williamstown led 4-0, and seemingly in control. Clearview had two golden opportunities to climb back into the contest with consecutive two-man advantages, but could not capitalize on either chance, as their power play went powerless.
With a chance to pad their lead on their own power play midway through the second period, Williamstown surrendered a short-handed goal as Shaun Stamm scored on a breakaway to cut the lead to 4-1. That's where we stood at the same point in the third period, when Erik Heritage brought Clearview to within 4-2. Then two minutes later, Joe Tropiano scored on a breakaway for Clearview and suddenly it was 4-3. Then with Clearview down a man, Erik Hamilton scored a power play goal with under two minutes left to put Williamstown ahead 5-3. Larkin added an empty net goal for the 6-3 final.
