High School Ice Hockey: College Showcase at Skate Zone in Pensauken Friday, September 14, 2007 By Mike Costantino Jack Lyons will hold his 6th College Showcase at the Skate Zone in Pensauken on December 29th, 2007. This showcase is the most successful showcase of its kind, and has seen over 220 players recruited to play college club hockey as a direct result of this showcase. The showcase is for individual players who are looking for an education first and playing competitive hockey second. Only players who will be in 11th or 12th grade or attending a community/junior college during the 2007-2008 school year may participate. There are no try-outs for this event and is not an all-star format; players of all skill levels are welcomed to apply. Teams for the showcase will be put together based on age and playing level to help insure competitive play for all. This showcase sells out quickly! Here is a list of schools that have attended previous showcases: Penn State University- (main campus) University of Pennsylvania 81 ACHA D-I, D-II & D-III will be invited to attend this showcase. A list of confirmed schools will be sent out to all registered players on a monthly basis. NONE OF THE ATTENDING SCHOOLS OFFER HOCKEY SCHOLORSHIPS COST $60 PER PLAYER (Includes game jersey, officials, coaches forum & player profiles for all coaches) SHOWCASE INFORMATION The 6th College Showcase will have a maximum of 120 players (6 teams). Each team will be comprised of: 2-goalies, 6-defense & 12- forwards. Games: Teams will play two 14 minute periods per half with an ice cut between halves.
