The Hollydell Hurricanes Pee Wee hockey team implemented a new offensive system two weeks ago and it's beginning to pay off in goals scored. In the two games this weekend, the Hurricanes netted 17 goals enroute to two decisive victories. The Canes defeatd Pocono 8-3 on Saturday and defeated the Haverford Hawks 9-4 on Sunday. The team is getting balanced scoring from all three lines to go along with a solid defense and goaltending.

Chris Keyser (#96) led the offensive surge on Saturday scoring 3 goals and assisting on another. His linemates, Tyler Chellew (#22) and Abe Silber (#15), provided aggressive fore-checking and numerous offensive scoring chances. The team also received a strong game from the line of Andy Rohach (#30), Jules Esposito (#17), and Joe Byrne (#88). Bobby Kovarovic (#35) played a solid game in goal, stopping numerous Pocono scoring chances. He received strong defensive support from Jim Rea (#10), A.J. Garbarino (#00), Dan Martin (#25), Bret Sauers (#9), and Sal DiPompo (#12).

On Sunday, Joe Del Rossi lead the offensive surge to defeat Haverford 9-4. Del Rossi scored 4 goals and assisted on linemate Chris Ball's (#94) goal. Zek Mckibbon (#93) provided strong checking in the corners to support five goals scored by the line. The team received strong goaltending from Bryan Willams (#34) along with tough defensive play from Andy Berentao (#91). The Hurricanes' fierce forechecking caused numerous give aways by the Haverford Hawks. Coach DelRossi was pleased with the team's effort over the weekend and is optimistically looking forward to the Hollydell Christmas Tournament.

The Hollydell Hurricane team is led by coach Dan Del Rossi. Del Rossi has been involved with hockey for 25 years, as both a player and a coach. He has coached for 5 years at Hollydell, leading both in-house and select teams at the Squirt, PeeWee, and Bantam levels. He has also assisted in various Learn-to-Skate, Learn-to-Play, and Power Skating programs at the Hollydell Ice Area.

The Hollydell Hurricanes play out of Hollydell Ice Arena located in Washington Township, New Jersey.
