Middle School Holiday Inaugural Hockey Tournament Begins at High Ridge

This is the First Annual Holiday Middle School Tournaments being held at the High Ridge Ice Arena in Gibbsboro, NJ. The tournament will run from December 28 - 31. This year's tournament showcases nine teams from two states and is certain to be exciting. The B level tournament teams are Easter, Marlton, Williamstown, and Farther Judge. The C level tournament teams are Sterling, Triton, Rancocas Valley, Highland, and West Deptford.
The Tournament Point system is a followed:
- Winners will be awarded 2 points
- Ties will be awarded 1 point for each team
- Losses will be awarded 0 points.
- Teams with the most accumulated points in the round robin play will advance to the championship
Tie Breakers
- Head to head play
- Goals against
- Fewest penalty minutes
The Tournament Rules
- High Ridge tournaments are USA Hockey sanctioned and All play will be governed by USA Hockey rules.
- All game misconduct penalties will carry tournament disqualifications for the penalized player with the exception of hitting from behind penalties. If a player receives a game misconduct for hitting from behind that player's additional suspension will be at the discretion of the ruling game official.
- In the event of a tie at the end of regulation during round robin play each team will be awarded one point. There will only be overtime in the championship games.
