It's been nearly 39 years in the making. The Philadelphia Flyers will welcome their 25-millionth fan through the turnstiles at Wachovia Center on Saturday, November 5, when the team hosts the Atlanta Thrashers at 7 p.m. In celebration, the team is preparing a memorable night saluting the fans, including many terrific prizes to be presented throughout the game.
"Since Day One our fans have always been an integral part of our organization," said Flyers President Ron Ryan. "This is truly a remarkable achievement for our club to be welcoming its 25-millionth fan. We're looking for a very memorable night to mark the occasion."
Details of the Flyers' plans to welcome their 25-millionth fan and celebrate the occasion will be announced next week, according to Ryan.
