Three Wings Selected to 2005 National Lacrosse League All-Star Team
Eliuk, Hajek, and Marechek Named as Members of the East Division Squad

The National Lacrosse League announced today that Wings goaltender Dallas Eliuk, defenseman Thomas Hajek, and forward Tom Marechek were named to the 2005 East Division All-Star Team. The 2005 All-Star Game will be played at the Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, February 26th and air live on NBC locally on WCAU at 2:00 PM Eastern.

"It's a great honor to be chosen to play with these guys," said Hajek, a first-year All-Star. "To be able to play in an All-Star game along players who have done so much in their career, like Tommy (Marechek) and Dallas (Eliuk) is really special."

Eliuk is in his fifteenth professional season and is the most decorated goaltender in professional lacrosse history. Among his achievements are four World Championships, nine All-Pro awards, and two championship MVP awards. He has a 12.75 goals against average and a 79.7% save percentage in four games played to date in the 2005 season.

Hajek serves as the Wings team captain in his second-year and has 34 loose balls in six games played this season. He was named to the 2004 NLL All-Rookie Team and led the team in penalty minutes (55) last season.

Marechek, the Wings all-time leading scorer, leads the team in goal scoring (15). He is second in overall team scoring with 27 points. The twelfth-year forward has earned eight All-Pro awards and four World Championships.

Prior to the All-Star festivities, the Wings play one home games at the Wachovia Center on Friday, February 18 vs. the Rochester Knighthawks. The Wings will play five additional home games at the Wachovia Center including Saturday, March 5 vs. the Minnesota Swarm; Saturday March 12 vs. the Knighthawks; Friday, March 18 vs. the Colorado Mammoth; Saturday, April 2 vs. the Toronto Rock; and Saturday, April 9 vs. the Rock.
