On the first cloudy, chilly, windy day of the season, the Tarkill Lady Knights and the Berlin Township Hurricanes played to a 2-2 tie. In the first half, the Hurricanes played against the wind. They scored on a shot from the right side of the box by B. Gadzia. B. Gadzia received a ball thrown in from M. Williams down the right side of the field. The half ended 1-0 Berlin Township.

In the second half, the Lady Knights scored the next two goals, both against the wind. The second came on a hand ball inside the 14-yard box. This led to a penalty kick, which was placed in the left hand corner of the net. This gave the Lady Knights a 2-1 lead. The Hurricanes came roaring back. Again, B. Gadzia received a throw in from M. Williams and made a couple of moves to get into the box. She was taken down, and the ref called another penalty kick. M. Williams took the kick and put it just inside the left post for a 2-2 tie. The teams traded trips up and down the pitch, but both defenses could not be beaten. The game ended in a 2-2 tie.
