The Berlin Township Tornado blew into the 22nd annual Cinnaminson Thanksgiving Tournament with very high expectations. They had just completed a very successful 7-1-1 record this season. Game one against the Delran Express was a very defensive game leading to a 3-2 Berlin Township victory. Goalie Vincent Wilson and his stellar defense of Armando Silva, Chris Barbour and Nick Yaworski were tested time and time again but held strong for the win.

From Pennsylvania came the Ridley United Riverdawgs to put a stop to the local boys. Things did not bode well for the Dawgs. Led by the defensive halfback, Ryan Sheehan and full back Alex Parisi, Ridley only scored one goal. Offensive leaders for the Township were goal scorers Justin Bradley and Josh Brecker. The final score was a punishing 5-2 win for the Tornado.

The Sunday after Thanksgiving was frigid on the field but not in the final score. At the eleven minute mark of the first half the score was tied at 3-3. It began to look like a very high scoring game. Things did slow down a bit and the first half remained tied at three each. The coaches must have had some magic in their half time speech. Tornado got back into the game with three more goals to eventually beat the Mt. Laurel Extreme 6-4. The offensive scoring of Chris Steiner's hat trick and Daulton Law's two goals and Andrew Marone's goal was supported by both Nick Kuhn and Nolan Pierce getting two assists each.

This tournament concluded the outside season for the Tornado. They are now playing indoors at the International Sports Center in Cherry Hill. After two weeks worth of action the Tornado have one win and one tie. Action resumes this Saturday.

Congratulations and thanks go to coaching brothers Brian and Colin Law. Added thanks go to Nick Marone for his flag boy participation this whole season.
