The U-9 girls from Berlin Township Hurricanes had there home opener on September 16 at the new Edgewood Avenue Soccer Complex against the Linwood White Lightening. The White Lightening jumped out to a 2-0 lead as they controlled the play. S. Martin, J. Holtzman, and R. Taylor played good for the White Lightening. The Goalkeepers for the Berlin Township Hurricanes keep the team in the game with some great saves.

M. Swain stopped a penalty shot near the end of the first half as she dove to her right. She blocked the ball and got up and distributes the ball to the out side. In the second half, S. Lemm made some great saves also. One that stands out is a shot from the 14-yard box that was in the air and she caught it. The goal-scoring machine for the Hurricanes, M. Foster scored again. This time she scored a hat trick, but the White Lightening scored four. The Linwood White Lightening defeat the Berlin Township Hurricanes by the score of 4-3.
