The PYAA 12U girls soccer team recently wrapped up first place in the SJGSL National Division. With one week left in the season, the Red Devils beat Mt. Laurel United 1-0 on a Shayla Hall goal early in the second half.

PYAA started the season as the 12 rated team in South Jersey. The National Division is for teams rated 6-12. The Red Devils were 7-1-1 going into the final weekend. The biggest wins were a 2-0 victory on the road at Cinnaminson, (who handed PYAA their only defeat of the season, a 1-0 loss at home in week 3) and 2 wins over West Deptford, who had beaten PYAA 3 straight times over the last 2 seasons.

The Red Devils only gave up 3 goals all season, 1 to Cinnaminson and 2 at Cherry Hill in a come from behind 2-2 tie.

The Red Devils will play in the West Deptford Thanksgiving Weekend Tournament, and then play in the 12U Grand Championship at TBAA on Sat., Dec. 4 and Sun., Dec. 5. This tournament consists of the top 3 teams in the Olympic Division, top 2 in the National and top team from the American.

The family and friends of the Red Devils would like to congratulate each player and wish them good luck in the tournaments. Go Devils!
