WELCOME TO THE VOORHEES SOCCER ASSOCIATION

1999 MEMORIAL DAY CLASSIC

The Voorhees Soccer Association invites you to join us for the 7th Annual "1999" Voorhees Memorial Classic to be played Friday evening, May 28th thru Monday, May 31st. We plan on again making our tournament one of the premier soccer events held in the Mid-Atlantic states. A concentrated effort is being made to attract out of state teams, including state champions and runner-up's.

Location: Voorhees, NJ. We will be using twenty-five fields, all located on only six sites, seven of which are lighted fields. Voorhees is only 20 minutes from Philadelphia and 45 minutes from Atlantic City and Great Adventure Theme Park.

Games: Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of four (4) games. Semi-finals and finals will be held in most divisions, allowing some teams to play a total of 6 games. Every effort will be made to give each team at least one game under the lights. U-9 and U-10 games will be 25 minute halves, with all other divisions playing 30 minute halves. Teams traveling 90 minutes or more will not be scheduled to play Friday. All semi-finals and finals will be played on Monday.

Awards: First and Second place learns in each conference will be guaranteed awards. Participation medals will be given to all under 9 athletes.

Eligibility: All traveling teams duly registered with their state association. Each team will be permitted three (3) guest players* up to a maximum team roster of eighteen (18) players. Guest players must present a player pass from their current team. Rosters are frozen upon official check-in at registration. Out of state teams must obtain "permission to travel forms" from their state association. All teams are expected to exchange pins or patches following all matches.

*No secondary carded players are permitted to participate.

Conferences and Age Groups: Teams will be aligned based upon their competitive ability. Conference assignments are determined in part by the information included in your application, so it is important that you report your team's record accurately, as well as provide information as to the league and level in which you play. Additional information will be requested, if necessary. Competition will be offered for boys and girls in the following age groups:
