The South Jersey Barons went to work early on in this game effectively sealing the win after 12 minutes. They got of to a flying start and never looked back as they continued to pound the Vermont goal all game. Five Barons players got on the score sheet. First Tony Donatelli (Temple/Glendale, PA) volleyed home a cross from left winger Justin Saddler (Drexel/Philadlephia PA). Saddler turned from goal provider to goal scorer when he lashed a fierce drive that bulged the net. After Saddlers goal the Barons got a little lazy and let the Voltage back into the game until Bryon Carmicheal (Marshall/Lumberton, NJ) notched his third of the season after another great cross from Justin Saddler. Vermont then seized their chance after a period of continued pressure and slack defending by the Barons they worked the ball to captain Bo Simic who beat Pat Hannigan with a sweet side footed shot.

The second half went according to plan for the Barons they continued to attack the Voltage and got a deserved goal when Neil Holloway dribbled through 4 players and then beat the keeper. It was quiet easily the goal of the game and a contender for goal of the season. In the 60th minute the Barons were awarded a penalty as Ruben Mingo was chopped in the box. However Holloway, who had scored the winning goal from a penalty the game before against Cape Cod had his weak shot saved by James Everall.

The non-stop action continued and the Barons kept rolling as Ruben Mingo cleverly clipped the ball over the advancing Everall to make it 5-1. In the 80th minute Carmicheal got his fourth of the season after he was released by Brian Devlin (Penn State/Philadelphia,PA) Carmicheal now leads the team in scoring with 4 goals and one assist.
