The Philadelphia KiXX team up with the Donovan McNabb Foundation, which promotes diabetes awareness and prevention. This is a disease that has hit Donovan personally; Donovan's father, Samuel, suffers from Type 2 diabetes. In attendance, along with thousands of other fans, will be children that have received assistance from Donovan through his Foundation. This special event is designed to provide guests of the Donovan McNabb Foundation with a fun-filled, exciting evening of professional indoor soccer.

"Donovan is honored to work with the KiXX on behalf of the Donovan McNabb Foundation," said Peter Raskin, Senior Director, SFX Sports Group. "He considers any opportunity to facilitate better understanding of Diabetes a worthy one, and is hopeful that a cure can be found in his lifetime. This appearance is a testament to his commitment to this worthy philanthropy."

McNabb will open the game with the ceremonial first kick. At half-time, eight lucky fans will catch a pass from the Pro Bowler, while others will win signed memorabilia. The first 5,000 entries are eligible to participate and all patrons must be present to win. McNabb was selected as the 2002 recipient of the Wanamaker Award. Each year, the Wanamaker Award is presented to the athlete, team or organization that has done the most to reflect credit upon Philadelphia and their team or sport during the last year.
