KiXX Playoff Tickets On Sale Now
Philadelphia To Host MISL Quarterfinal On Saturday, April 10

Tuesday, March 30, 2004

By David Deal
Philadelphia KiXX Director of Communitions

Philadelphia KiXX Executive Vice President/General Manager Greg Bibb announced today that tickets for the team’s Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Quarterfinal match, to be held on Saturday, April 10 at the Wachovia Spectrum, are now on sale and available for purchase. The one-game opening round of the 2004 League Playoffs is scheduled to kick-off at 7:05 pm ET.

Regular season ticket prices remain in effect for the 2004 MISL Playoffs. This includes the club’s popular Family Four PaXX, which offers four lower-level seats, four hot dogs and four sodas for only $59.00.

The KiXX, who have qualified for postseason play in each of their eight years of existence, enter the 2004 MISL Playoffs as the top wild-card team (fourth seed overall) and will host the League’s fifth-place club in a one-game quarterfinal match. The Central Division’s Kansas City Comets currently occupy the fifth position with a 16-19 record, but the Cleveland Force trail close behind at 15-19; only one-half of a game separates the two clubs and the Force have one-game in hand. The St. Louis Steamers are presently out of the playoff picture with a 13-20 mark, but with three-games remaining and only a game and one-half deficit from the sixth spot, the Steamers remain alive for the final postseason berth. In head-to-head play this season, Philadelphia holds a 1-3 record versus Kansas City, 4-1 versus the Force (with one match remaining) and an even 2-2 mark versus St. Louis.

The Milwaukee Wave and the Baltimore Blast, regular-season Central and Eastern Division champs respectively, each receive a first-round bye and will host a one-game MISL Semifinal match during the weekend of April 16-18. The Dallas Sidekicks, who clinched the third spot with the regular-season Western Division title, will host the sixth-place team also on April 10. The League Finals, a best-of-five series with the higher-seed team home for three of the games, will be played from April 23 through May 5.

Philadelphia prepares for their final two games of the regular season, a back-to-back set that kicks-off versus the Wave in Milwaukee on April 2 and then concludes with a visit to the Wachovia Spectrum from former player/coach Omid Namazi and the Cleveland Force on April 3. Game-time in Milwaukee is scheduled for 8:05 pm ET, while the KiXX-Force matchup is slated for a 7:05 pm ET kick-off. For more information or to purchase tickets for either the final home game of the regular-season or for the April 10 playoff match, contact the club’s Executive Office at 1-888-888-KiXX (5499) or visit any ticketmaster location.
