South Jersey Softball:
Camden County Softball League 33rd All-Star Game

Saturday, July 1, 2000

PRESS RELEASE

The Firefighters of the Camden County Softball League are inviting everyone to come out to enjoy the 33rd All-Star Game of the Camden County Firefighters Softball League on July 8, 2000.

The events will be held at the Luke Avenue Sports Complex in West Berlin - home of the 1999 League Champion West Berlin Fire Company. The day will start at 9:00 AM with our Third Annual Home Run Derby. Each year the competition has gotten more exciting. We have approximately 25 entrants for the "Derby" and so far the winner has emerged on the last swing.

After the Home Run Derby winner is decided, we proceed into our Annual All-Star Game. The division winning teams from the preceding season provide the managers for the game. This year's managers are Greg Lydic of West Berlin Fire Company and Paul Miller of Berlin Fire Company.

When the All-Star Game is finished, we will all go back to West Berlin Fire House for food and refreshments, and league president Kevin Johnston will present trophies to the Home Run Derby winner, All-Star Game MVPs and Division winners. The brackets will be set for the league playoffs which should start on or about July 10.

Our last order of business will to pick the winning ticket for our 50/50. We anticipate giving $500.00 to the winner. I hope to see you at the field on July 8 if not before. If you have any questions please call 856-435-0970 or email YoBro632@AOL.com
