The playoffs for the PrimeTime softball league was already in its semi-final round with four teams still in the hunt for their quest of capturing the 2002 Championship title. One semi-final game featured Camden PBA taking on the team from Weyman Photography/Post 56 at the Mitchell's/East Clementon field. The other game held at Sterling High School watched McDonnell's Bar & Grille taking on Warwick Tavern. Post 56 breezed through their way to the finals. Warwick Tavern won their series after losing the first game. So that means that this Sunday's championship game will feature Warwick Tavern and Weyman Photography/Post 56.

Game one of the Post 56 hosting Camden PBA watched the momentum swing quickly to the home team. After Camden PBA score the first run of the game in the top of the first inning, the home team came roaring back in the bottom of the inning. Using all their home runs allowed, Post 56 scored 12 runs with one solo home run, two 2-run shots, and two 3-run bombs over the fence. Brian Greene had two home runs in the inning accounting for 5 of the runs batted in. Tom Smalls hit the first of two 3-run shots in the inning with an opposite field home run. Post 56 took game one 32-7 with Joe Jetson, Joe Voight and Brian Greene combining to go 12 for 12 with 5 home runs and 10 RBI's. Ned Kerr was game one winning pitcher.

In the second game, Mike Krauss took the mound for Post 56 and picked up the 25-6 win to advance to the championship title game. John Yezzi, Fred Simaraglio and Tom Smalls combined to go 12 for 12 with 3 homeruns and 12 RBIs. They will go up against Warwick Tavern as they defeated the defending champions McDonnell's Bar and Grille. Warwick would lose the first game of the series, but managed to pull themselves together winning the next two games.

With the matchup for Sunday's title game in place, will Weyman Photography/Post 56 continue their winning ways going undefeated for the entire season? Or will Warwick Tavern rebound from losing to Post 56 during the regular season. Playing in the championship game brings out the best in every player dressed for the game. Warwick Tavern showed that coming from behind to advance to the finals. But Post 56 are a determined bunch of guys.
