On this warm sunny day, ten area middle school track teams competed in 28 events in what was called the "Camden County Championship Track Meet" at Cherry Hill West High School. There were teams from Burlington County that also competed in this meet. By competing in these events, these students are getting ready to take that next step into the high school competion. But these students were only thinking about the events that were taking place today.

Pennsauken Middle School dominated the meet by scoring a total of 192 points. There were two outstanding performances by Bubunka and Athea Jenkins. Bubunka ran a 2:22.56 in the boy's unlimited 800-meter race. Jenkins ran a 1:02.13 in the over 105 lb girls 400 meter race and also recorded a 16'10" long jump.
