Attention Golfers! It's Your Last Chance to Sign up & Play in a One-of a-Kind Golf Outing, June 28 in Philadelphia.
Registration for the 1st Annual "Slap Shot" Golf Tournament to benefit Louise Arters and to help fight Multiple Sclerosis closes on June 21, 2004. Don't miss out; it will be a fantastic day!
Louise, along with her twin sister Janet, portrayed the "Sparkle Twins" in the 1977 movie SLAP SHOT and are better known to hockey fans as the bouncing blonde bombshell Booster Club groupies.
Through this event you can golf with the cast members of the greatest hockey movie ever made! Imagine strolling around the golf course with Charlestown Chiefs goalie Denis Lemieux (Yvon Barrette), Syracuse captain and chief punk Tim "Dr Hook" McCracken (Paul D'Amato), or Long Island Ducks goalie Tommy Hanrahan (Christopher Murney). Oh, the stories you will be telling your grandkids if you survive!
The goal of this tournament is to raise funds to help purchase a handicapped equipped van for Louise, to help her maintain her independence as she struggles with Multiple Sclerosis. Additional proceeds from this tournament will also go to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America for more research.
This incredible "Slap Shot" event will take place on Monday June 28, at Cobb's Creek Golf Course at the intersection of 72nd & Lansdowne Avenue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The 18-hole scramble golf outing will commence with a shotgun start in the early afternoon. Several exciting activities will entertain golfers throughout the day. Dinner will follow golf at Bullies in the Wachovia Spectrum starting at 6 p.m. Entry fee for golf and dinner is $125 or dinner only is $25.
