High School Softball: Wednesday, April 30, 2003 By Crystal Parker So far this season, one of the softball teams from Audubon and Sterling high school has taken total control of their abilities to play as a unit to achieve their objectives. With seven of their ten game winning streak, the ladies from Audubon has shut down their opponents’ offense holding them scoreless. Sterling would not be another statistic to the Green Wave’s shutout success as they were able to tie this game at one all after two innings. But Amanda Brown would come through with the game winning hit for Audubon to extend their winning streak to ten games with their 5-1 victory against Sterling. |
High School Baseball: Tuesday, April 29, 2003 By Jerome Michaels The Colonial Conference has been arguably one of the toughest to compete in for high school baseball. Each one of the eleven teams has had a taste of being one of the leaders of the conference during their years in competition. This year, four teams are looking to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. Two of those teams met today at Haddonfield High School as the Bulldogs were hosting the Eagles from West Deptford. Haddonfield would be able to manufacture more runs that West Deptford and come away with the 6-4 win at home. |

Curtis Hart would earn the victory as Eastern posted a 6-3 to remain among the leaders in the division. Scott Mauger hit a solo homerun for the Vikings. |

Finally, with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, Dahl would crush a Farrell pitch over the fence for the 2-0 victory. |
