The Varsity Club is now open for business!! We are celebrating our first group of student athletes at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology. There are currently 23 members in our after school program and we are looking to add to that number. I would like to take this time to thank Mr. Sam Kennish and Mr. Jamie Dundee the athletic director at the school; these two gentlemen have done a lot of the heavy lifting to help me get this program off of the ground!

The scope of the Varsity club is to offer solutions; one solution is to offer athletes a chance to enhance their ability to compete in a setting that is convenient and accessible, by that I mean with athletes always looking to get better, by offering it at the school we have an opportunity to effect athletes who may not be able to get transportation to an off site training program. We also help create a greater sense of community because not instead of one or two athletes working to get better we stand to get whole teams thereby raising the level of everyone on the team instead. Another is to offer information to students who feel as though this is something they would like to be a part of. One of the great things about this is the fact that there is no competition, all of the students involve move at their own pace, there is none of this “let’s just max out everyday to see how strong we are”. I can honestly say that most of the kids have bought into the protocol we are using and have started to see results! Which I am very excited about, this is a project I have worked for over 5 years to get going and now that it finally has look out!

There are some people who are a little skeptical about this program; they feel as though it may not work, to those people I say just sit back and watch. The kids in this program believe in themselves and in me, and anyone who knows me knows that if you are training with me and doing the things I ask you to do, there is not too much I will not do for you to ensure your success!

The Varsity Club meets at The Gloucester County Institute of Technology Monday through Thursday we start at 3:00 if you would like more information on this program please feel free to contact me.
