200 Turn Out for Seafood 5 Mile Run

Partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 70's met about 200 runners for the start of the Seafood 5 Mile Run. This annual run takes place on the streets and boardwalk of Point Pleasant Beach and is held on the third Saturday of September every year. The Seafood 5 Mile Run takes place the same weekend as the Festival of the Sea Block Party in downtown Point Pleasant Beach.

It still amazes Bill Kile III when he receives the amount of support each year the annual Bill Kile Memorial Run is held at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken. The hard work and determination he strides to achieve can be seen by all of his followers, supporters, friends and family. His goal as always is to have a successful event in memory of his father, William H. Kile Jr. If you have ever met Bill Kile III, you would know that his personality makes it easy to support him in his cause in raising money for the William H. Kile Jr. Humanitarian Scholarship Fund. This year's overall winner in the 4-mile run was Johnny Marino with Erin Donahue finishing first in the women's category.

South Jersy Sports Online once again would like to bring to our readers' attention a race which honors the memory of a popular educator and runner from South Jersey - the Sixth Annual Bill Kile's Memorial Run. This TAC-certified four-mile race and one-mile fun run/walk will be held Saturday, July 27th at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, NJ. The fun run starts at 8:30 AM with the four-miler to begin at 9 AM.

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - More than 1,000 runners are expected to compete in the 21st Annual Bancroft NeuroHealth 5K Race on March 23. The race has been designated as the 5K championship race on the Mid-Atlantic Association of USA Track & Field's (USATF) 2002 Grand Prix Circuit. The event will also serve as the women's qualifier for the USATF national 5K championships.
