 Event Spotlight:Volunteers and Runners Make 5th Annual BK Run Reach Their Goal Saturday, July 28, 2001 By Art Redd High hopes were in the minds of the organizers and volunteers for this year's Bill Kile Run at Cooper River Park. Bill Kile III had assembled his troops in anticipation of reaching a 5 year goal of $10,000 for the William H. Kile Jr. Humanitarian Scholarship Fund. As the morning sun began to raise, the runners began to slowly arrive for this fifth annual event which had over 100 participants running the 4-mile course around the lake. |
