Middlesex County College Defeats Camden County College

The men's baseball team from Middlesex County College traveled to Camden County to take on the Cougars. Middlesex scored all the runs they needed in the first inning to capture the win. Starting pitcher John Bird picked up the win for Middlesex as they went on to defeat Camden County Community College by a 5-3 margin.

On Sunday, the Defending Champs celebrate their victory over Eden's Bar as well as Cinco De Mayo back at McDonnell's Bar & Grille with friends. The 4-0 team is in its fifth year with the Primetime League, Division A and is currently holding the Championship Title for the past two seasons. This year's coaches Shawn Whelan and Andy "The Dog" Scott say they are ready to take it all this season too.

Three goals in seven minutes bridging the first and second halves powered the Philadelphia Charge to a 4-2 win over the Boston Breakers in the club's 2002 home-opener in front of 6,629 at Villanova Stadium Saturday night. Jennifer Tietjen, Marinette Pichon and Mandy Clemens all scored for Philadelphia, which improved its record to 3-0-0 and keeps the club in a tie for first place in the WUSA with the Carolina Courage.

Chris Handsor scored the game -winning goal with 36.7 seconds left in the game, completing his hat trick and lifting the Philadelphia KiXX to their first-ever Major Indoor Soccer League Championship, 8-6, over the two-time defending champion Milwaukee Wave at the Bradley Center. Joel Shanker added a goal and an assist and Peter Pappas made 18 saves for Philadelphia, which rebounded from a 1-0 series deficit to win the best-of-three championship set two-games-to-one in front of an MISL postseason record crowd of 16,082.

Audubon Have Easy Time Against Collingswood

In a Colonial Conference game, Audubon continued their winning ways by scoring early and relying on strong pitching. Collingswood was the team who fell victim to the Green Wave's onslaught as they scored six runs in the first inning. Joe Flacco pitched a two hitter as Audubon ended this game early in the sixth inning with a 10-0 win over Collingswood.

You couldn't have scripted the ending of this game any better for Burlington Township. The fans from both Holy Cross and Burlington Township were treated to a pitching duel through six and a half innings. But with a scoreless tie going into the bottom of the seventh inning, Ace Robinson drilled the first pitch through the raindrops and over the fence for the game winning home run. The Falcons mobbed the slugger as he touched home plate to record the only run of this game.

Two Last Inning Runs Pushes Audubon Past Haddonfield

Both of these starting pitchers were on top of their game in this Colonial Conference battle between the Lady Bulldawgs from Haddonfield and the Green Wave from Audubon. Candace O'Donnell has been one of the reasons to Audubon's success this season. O'Donnell picked up her thirteen win pitching this season with a 2-1 victory over Haddonfield. Kelsi Fanelli knocked in the tying run and scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Washington Township Breezes By Pennsauken

It was a game that seemed to be played in late October. The Minutemaids from Washington Township were hosting Pennsauken in a battle of finding a way to keep warm on the softball field. These two teams managed to play ball despite all of the cold limbs. The Lady Indians' bats were as frigate as the temperatures as Washington Township recorded a 4-0 victory in an Olympic Conference game.
