Preparing for the upcoming season, the Minutemen had their second scrimmage at the Washington Twp. Football Complex against the Patriots. This scrimmage is an annual festive event called "The Mayors Cup"; all weight classes from 70lbs. to the unlimited division were represented in a football extravaganza, attended by many families, friends and residents.

A team to watch, the Washington Twp. "Minutemen" had their first scrimmage against the West Deptford "Eagles". Under the controlled supervision of the coaches at the River Winds Sports Complex, the Minutemen exploded on the first play of the game for a 40 yard touch down run by Keith Schrump. Also adding spice to the backfield is newcomer Vincent Marcucci, whose speed and versatility as running back, quarterback and free safety should be an asset for the Minutemen.

There comes a time in the life of every athlete where a decision has to be made, the question that puts you on the road to making that decision is, how good do I want to be? The summer of 2003 was that time for Jaclyn Pryzbylkowski. Jaclyn, after a productive career at Bishop Eustace Prep School, will be moving on to continue her tennis career at the College of New Jersey, and if the way she worked this summer is any indication then I have no worries that she will be able to compete with the best and brightest on the court and in the classroom.

Philadelphia Charge defender Jenny Benson was named the WUSA Humanitarian of the Year on Tuesday. Benson earned the honor over fellow finalists Nel Fettig of the Carolina Courage and Jaime Pagliarulo of the San Diego Spirit. Benson was also a finalist for this same award last season.

While reading this book I just couldn't stop wondering has to what the true difference was, there are differences between men and women, but being in the strength training game I couldn't find it. The exercises that Frédéric Delavier writes about have been proven, but they also work for men as well, the function of most of the muscles in men and women are the same, the bicep bends the arm, the triceps straighten the arm and so on.

The 2003 World TeamTennis (WTT) Pro League Champion will be crowned on Saturday, August 23, as the Delaware Smash and the Sacramento Capitals battle for the King Trophy at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. at 2:00 p.m. EST. For the fourth consecutive year, the WTT Finals will be a part of Arthur Ashe Kids Day. Admission is free for the championship match on Court #11.
