High School Soccer: Sunday, October 31, 2004 By Boog Williams The South Jersey Coaches Tournament Finals were held at Rutgers-Camden University this Sunday. With the wind wiping off the Delaware River, which had an effect on the game, most of the game was played at the end closest to the baseball diamond. With 32:30 left in the first half, Lenape’s Danielle Shine, with the wind at her back, crossed a ball from the left. The ball went up high, hit the ground around the six-box and bounced high in the air. Cinnaminson’s Keeper, Lauren Wojcik, jumped to grab it but was distracted by Lindsay Walsh. The ball bounced off Wojcik’s hand and just crossed over the line, without hitting the ground, as Walsh was yelling it was a goal. The Linesman agreed and Lenape took a 1-0 lead off of a wind helped goal. |
High School Football: Saturday, October 30, 2004 By Vincent Lewis It was not an exciting game for the coaches to watch as the officials were littering the field with flags. As for the players, their short term memory allowed them to continue to play football to determine the winner of this very important game. The Eagles from Winslow Township were hosting the Panthers from Camden with both teams needing a win to have any chance of extending their season into the playoffs. Despite all of the penalties especially near the end of the first half, Winslow Township’s twenty-three first half points was more than enough to defeat the Panthers by a 42-14 margin. |

For so long the Eagles have struggled, but now they have been rewarded with a winning record and a trip to the Parochial Group III playoffs. By posting a 42-14 win over Northern Burlington, Paul VI improved their record to 4-3 guaranteeing them a playoff position. |
High School Football: Friday, October 29, 2004 By Jerome Michaels They are that front line that sometimes goes un-noticed when a game is going well. Quarterbacks have all the time in the world to survey the field for an open receiver and runningbacks have the luxury of picking and choosing quickly which gap to run through. That was quite evident for Clearview's football team Friday night on their home field. Four rushing touchdowns and two passing proved that the o-line did its job in a very important win to guarantee a five hundred percentage run in hopes of being selected for the postseason. Clearview defeated Woodstown by a 45-13 margin and picked up their second win in a row. |

Dispaldo opened the scoring for Township four minutes into the game, but goals by Zack Booth and Dustin Isbert in the period's last five minutes gave Paul VI the lead.
